EKG Technician - Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or CNA

Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a EKG Technician-Certified/Registered Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preoperative electrocardiogram (EKG).
Assist with holter monitor and cardiac stress testing.
Assist physician and staff with routine surgical procedures.
Perform vital signs, phlebotomy and diagnostic equipment calibraton.
Ensure proper patient satisfaction by attending to their medical needs as determined by the attending physician.
Obtain prior authorizations for prescriptions and procedures.
Fulfill prescription requests.
Maintain strict patient, computer, and company confidentiality.
Fulfills organizational responsibilities as assigned including respecting/promoting patient rights.
Expectations for Success:
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant or CNA; will consider graduates from accredited programs.
Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
Must be capable of handling multiple tasks effectively and able to maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations.
Demonstrate compassion and understanding for the patient and caring parties.
Possess pleasant and effective written, verbal, and telephone communication skills.
Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding.
Basic computer knowledge.
Recommended Skills Cpt Coding Cardiac Stress Tests Certified Nursing Assistant Communication Confidentiality Icd 9 Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
